As a teenager, Mike Rogers dreamed of writing a book about his mother's life stories. Later, after marrying and starting his own family, his youngest daughter, Ashley, also shared the same dream. Together, they have collaborated with Mary Lou (wife of Mike and mom to Ashley) and Andi (eldest daughter of Mike and Mary Lou and Ashley's sister) to bring these stories to life. The book is illustrated by Mike's grandson and Ashley's oldest William Michael.
